Nothing for battery pedal. :-) We cycle using our own power. And not only in all directions, but even in the direction of heaven - upwards! Directly into the 7th bike heaven, because Algund and the Merano countryside make your bike vibrate. For the roadies there are serpentines and secondary roads without end. For the trail fetishists, field paths, forest roads and the flowiest trails in the mixed forest slopes await, as well as real summit storm experience to the left and right side of the valley. The gravel freaks get everywhere anyway and the downhillers - down everywhere.

Whether you're collecting kilometres and altitude metres, zipping along on asphalt or prefer to dig your cleats into the forest floor and train your specific riding technique on climbs. With us you're always right!
By the way: If you like, you can rent an e-bike directly from us at the paloria - two of them are available at any time for a fee! Once a week, we also accompany you on a guided bike tour in the Merano countryside.

Whether the high plateau around the Vigiljoch or the Texelgruppe is the MTB "local mountain" of Algund - much more important is: Around Algund the MTB tour possibilities are almost unlimited! Tour highlight or small, wild delicacy? Especially in combination with the "Vinschger Bahn", many route variations are possible without first having to cover the annoying asphalt kilometres on 2.4 studded tires.
Up und down!
The south-facing valley side of the Vinschger Sonnenberg is usually already free of snow in March and with the first green blades of grass, trail joy comes up. The MTB programme around Algund covers the entire scale, from the pleasure tour to the extreme challenge, in uphill and downhill.
The MTB infrastructure is one of the best in South Tyrol: lifts, bike shuttle, bike stores and bike schools are available.

Attention road cyclists! From Algund you have all directions at your disposal when it comes to tour planning:
4 heavens for the road cyclists!
To the south runs the wildly beautiful Etschtal, but if the plain there should become too boring for you, then there are enough escapades on both sides of the valley to collect altitude metres without having to be too extreme.
Via Hafling on the sunny Tschögglberg to Bolzano, speed and fitness can be optimally combined. On the other side of the valley, the Gampenpass and the Mendelpass are waiting for you in a double pack! This route leads briefly into Trentino and brings enough kilometres and altitude metres for the Strava statistics.
Shorter round trips on the valley floor or up to the heights of Tisens and Prissian or into Überetsch are also suitable for half-day tours.
Or do you still want to go northwest? Just set off along the Vinschgau cycle path, and visit village after village - cancel the "race" before cycling. Maybe you should also save your energy, if the destination is called Stilfserjoch and demands something from you with an altitude difference of 2,400 metres (from Algund to the top of the pass)!
